Population Control is Now Mind Control

The days of Chinese and Peruvian women being directly coerced into forced abortions and sterilizations is over. These brutal practices still exist, but only in the most heavy-handed dictatorships. Even there they are mostly found in remote regions among persecuted minorities, such as among the Uyghurs in China, where women are still being sterilized and aborted against their will.

Almost everywhere else, such tactics would attract instant public scrutiny and international condemnation. The widespread availability of modern means of communication make that virtually certain. Too many people have smartphones capable of recording videos, along with access to social media, so that any direct attempt at outright coercion would be an instant scandal.

This doesn't mean that the population controllers have closed their doors, only that they have had to reinvent themselves. They no longer prioritize coerced sterilizations and forced abortions - not because they oppose these coercive practices, but because current social and political conditions make the cost of outright coercion too high.

I guarantee you that if any government in Latin America today attempted to sterilize hundreds of thousands of poor women, as Peru did a couple of decades ago, Population Research Institute would create such a firestorm of criticism that the program would quickly end.

At the same time, the population controllers haven't gone away. Their overall objective remains the same: to eliminate as many human beings, especially those it deems undesirable, as possible. They are still fanatically determined to force down the birth rate, destroying the lives of as many unborn children as possible.

But they have had to radically change their tactics. Today, instead of seizing control of young women's bodies, they are trying to seize control of their minds. The goal is to use social media to implant anti-family, anti-natal attitudes in the minds of young people. If you eliminate the desire to have children, you see, young men and young women will sterilize themselves.

That is why the population controllers now fund, promote, and celebrate every non-reproductive sexual behavior (LGBTQ+) and perversion under the sun. They no longer focus on forcing young women to accept Depo-Provera or to abort their unborn children. It simply builds a web of "family planning" and abortion clinics and waits, like a spider, for the young women - now properly brainwashed into an anti-child mindset - to walk through the doors themselves.

That's why today's population controllers celebrate DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and promote gender ideology. Those who have decided they are "bisexual" have few children. Those who "transition" from one sex to another have none.

That's why today's population controllers spend so much of their budget on social media, highlighting pop singers and Hollywood artists promoting sexual "diversity." That's why they promote a lifestyle of perpetual adolescence, endless partying, rampant consumerism, and mindless influencers.

It is, in short, a deliberate effort to implant in the minds of impressionable young a lifestyle in which the total commitment of marriage, family, and children has no place or meaning, and instead seems like the loss of freedom.

When this new version of population control gets ahold of young people's minds, the population controllers no longer need to push contraceptives and abortion. They simply need to make sure that they are available, and the young people will demand these things themselves.

And here USAID and the UN Population Fund are happy to help, flooding countries with condoms, contraceptives, implants and MVAs (handheld suction abortion machines). Social marketing programs, which make these drugs and devices available in clinics around the world for almost nothing, complete the project.

So it is today that "sexual and reproductive health" programs have retreated from coercion, but not from control. They are still scamming gullible young people and robbing the poor of their progeny, only now they pose as a commercial service catering to the gender-fluid lifestyle of sexual license.

The good news is that the Trump Administration understands the social, political, economic, and demographic repercussions of gender ideology and DEI, and its underlying anti-natal, anti-people goals.

Vice President J.D. Vance made that clear in Munich, where he fiercely attacked the entire woke narrative. Vance told shocked European elites, to their faces, that the wokism that almost all European governments have embraced destroys democracy and threatens national security because it suppresses freedom of speech and seeks to eliminate all undesirable voices. And he warned them that if they want to remain allies of the United States, they will have to change.

Population Research Institute has always played a leading role in the fight against population control. We have fought against forced sterilizations and abortions, such as China's one-child policy and the mass sterilizations in Peru. We have also exposed the brutal persecution of the Uyghurs in China. And we have won those and many other battles.

Today, we join the Trump Administration in the cultural battle against gender ideology and DEI. Additionally, we will work to cut funding for all organizations dedicated to population control.

It is fitting to start with those whose excesses are now most repulsive to public opinion: those that violate the Mexico City Policy by promoting or performing abortions and those that indoctrinate children and adolescents with gender theory and LGBTQ+ dogmas.

But it will not end until we have, once again, created a Culture of Life in the U.S. and around the world.
