As time passes, the globalist-controlled United Kingdom continues to become ever more immoral and unrecognisable.
Free speech is effectively dead, and hating your own heritage is the new norm; to even fly or proudly display the Union Jack is sometimes treated as a "hate crime". There are parallel sharia courts operating in parts of the country. Native Britons are increasingly treated like second-class citizens in their own homeland. Social services are strained to breaking point.
And now, in a latest move that shatters all notions of morality and disregards the sanctity of life, the British government has passed, with "overwhelming" support, a provision (Clause 208 of the Crime and Policing Bill) that critics rightly argue effectively decriminalises 'DIY abortions' at any stage of pregnancy.
The shocking part is that this extends up to birth and can be for any reason, meaning that the woman will face no criminal consequence for killing what is a fully developed, viable baby.
The left is dressing up this grotesque measure as some form of "women's empowerment," but in reality, it is an immoral, dehumanising policy that also harms women themselves.
As Archbishop John Sherrington of Liverpool put it:
"Women will be even more vulnerable to manipulation, coercion and forced abortions... This legal change will also discourage medical consultation and make the use of abortion pills for dangerous late-term, at-home abortions more likely."
Already, abortion numbers were horrific in the UK, with an estimated over 250,000 abortions performed in England and Wales annually. The previous legal framework included conditions such as an upper time limit of 24 weeks in most cases. This new law will likely increase the number of cases further in a country already facing demographic collapse from falling birth rates.
One MP had the audacity to suggest that this change was needed due to the rising number of cases of women being prosecuted for trying to illegally kill their unborn babies beyond the 24-week upper limit.
Absolutely bonkers logic: if people are increasingly committing a crime, are you just going to decriminalise it to avoid prosecutions?
Killing an unborn child is reprehensible. Period. And to those who claim that women are forced to this drastic action due to financial or emotional hardship, let me ask you: would you apply the same logic to a person stealing or committing violence because of similar financial or personal hardship? One's circumstances don't justify them committing a great evil.
And a great evil such as abortion could even be largely prevented if people practised abstinence before marriage and sought to remain in a stable union where both partners support each other, and their parents and community helped them raise their young.
This was the default Christian moral framework that kept our societies stable and resilient through crisis. Only in modern times has this framework collapsed in favour of selfish leftism, where people want to only act on desire, envy what others have, and see traditional morality as "outdated."
The abandonment of these timeless Christian values is what has gotten us to the present-day collapse of social relations, isolation, family breakdown, and the normalisation of evils such as abortion and state-sponsored assisted suicide.
As a Christian Australian looking at our cultural cousins across the sea, this should serve as a stark warning. When a nation rejects the sanctity of life, the importance of family, and the God-given dignity of every human being (born and unborn), it risks moral collapse.
Britain's path is a cautionary tale for all Western nations: without a return to truth, responsibility, and reverence for life, we risk the same moral and demographic decline. We must champion policies that protect the vulnerable, strengthen families, and uphold the intrinsic value of every life, rather than surrendering to immoral ideologies that treat the unborn as disposable inconveniences.
