On 5 September 2025, United States lawyer Aaron Siri testified to the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs with respect to the safety evaluation of the CDC's childhood vaccination schedule.
A central finding in Siri's testimony was an unpublished retrospective study from Henry Ford Health (conducted 2017-2020), comparing health outcomes in 18,468 children born between 2000 and 2016 (1,957 unvaccinated vs. 16,511 vaccinated).
The results included a finding that vaccinated children had statistically significantly higher rates of chronic conditions, including:
Overall, the authors of the study concluded that vaccinated children were 2.5 times more likely to develop a chronic health condition of some sort.
Of course, there are many other factors to consider. However, given that vaccination is such a ubiquitous aspect of health policy, it makes good sense to investigate such outcomes as much as possible. The study could be pointing to a trend requiring further investigation.
Although this was a US-based study, one would think that the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) would be interested in it.
Earlier this month during Senate estimates, I tabled the Henry Ford Study to the Community Affairs Committee and asked if the TGA was aware of it.

.
The TGA said they were "aware" of the study but were not in a position to respond to it at that time.
In keeping with that theme I also asked the TGA a range of questions regarding the extent to which placebo-controlled trials have been conducted on the products on the childhood immunisation schedule (placebo controlled trials being generally considered to be the "gold standard" for clinical trials) and why the Hepatitis B vaccine is given to every newborn child, when only 0.8% of Australians have that disease which is largely contained to distinct population groups.
Watch the responses here:

Following those Senate estimates hearings, I have also placed a number of written questions on notice to the TGA on these topics.
Given the scale of the childhood vaccination program and the importance of the health of our kids, we are entitled to answers!
