Reprogramming Stem Cells - or Pro-Lifers Minds?

In November 2007, two scientists Dr. Shinya Yamanaka and Dr. James Thomson published their studies describing a new stem cell technique that produced embryonic-like stem cells by simply reprogramming adult skin cells.1 Immediately, several bioethicists and pro-life leaders touted the iPS - or "induced pluripotent stem" cells to be an ethical alternative to embryonic stem cell research and human cloning. For if one could produce embryonic stem cells without destroying innocent human beings that would end the ethics debates once and for all. Or would it?

Hospice care delivers Hemlock nightcap

After piecing together the players involved in Terri Schiavo's death, it's crystal clear that she was merely a pawn in a much larger agenda, one intently focused on the legalization of physician/assisted suicide and euthanasia in America. The plan was simple: sell the idea that no one should have to live with disabilities; sugarcoat the organization's name and intent; secure funding; and last but not least, infiltrate the legislature, the healthcare network and even the Catholic Church to the point that Margaret Sanger would've been proud.

Responding to The Call: Is Anyone Listening?

For the past five years, Children of God for Life has sought the help of every theologian, ethicist or clergy who has weighed in on the issue of aborted fetal cell line vaccines. With the exception of a few good moral leaders, priests and bishops, nearly all who have responded have done so as though they were treading on thin ice, so afraid to produce a crack that might actually reveal the truth and awaken a sleeping conscience.

CNS Deceptive Reporting Undermines Vatican Statement - Retraction Demanded

Response to August 2nd NCBC Statement

The National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC) is dangerously teetering on a public perception that they have some sort of underlying motive when it comes to their position on using and producing vaccines with aborted fetal cell lines. In fact, their opinion on this issue has been so far removed from mainstream Catholic views that they actually concluded it was also morally acceptable for Catholic Universities to use the aborted fetal cell lines in research.

Children of God for Life is calling the National Catholic Bioethics Center to task for their stunning denial of the directives in the recent Vatican Statement "Moral Reflections on Vaccines Prepared From Cells Derived From Aborted Human Foetuses"

Human Cloning - Redefining Life

When Dolly the sheep was created as the first successfully cloned animal in 1997, a door was opened into an area of technology that should have been locked tighter than Pandora's box. Instead, scientists began salivating at their newly found power to control and create life at will.

Cell Line Research At Georgetown et al

Please read the statement released by the National Catholic Bioethics Center regarding the aborted fetal cell line research at Georgetown University - and our response. These people are supposed to be giving guidance and direction to our Bishops and Church leaders. You will be shocked to learn that not only does this Catholic organization think that Georgetown's research is perfectly acceptable, they believe the pharmaceutical industry is blameless as well!

Ethics for Sale

Those entrusted with positions of power within the Church and Catholic laity have a unique responsibility to uphold the highest degrees of honesty and ethics. Their secular titles serve them well and earn them a high degree of respect and credibility among their peers. Whether they are clergy, doctors, lawyers, psychologists or scientists, they must set aside personal motivations when writing, teaching or speaking as leaders of the Catholic community.
