Scientist, Elias Zambidis, from Johns Hopkins Institute for Cell Engineering and the Kimmel Cancer Center explained that they took cord blood cells, treated them with growth factors, transferred four genes into them and voila, they reprogrammed the cells to the stage of a six-day old embryo. ... "What they did not reveal was that they used 20-22 week gestation aborted fetal liver and lung in that reprogramming which were obtained from AllCells and Lonza Biologics," ... also used stem cells from destroyed human embryos.

On March 29, Children of God for Life put out a startling press release that has raised the eyebrows of even the most liberal thinkers. Senomyx Biotechnology produces flavor enhancers for food giants - Nestle, PepsiCo, Cadbury Adams LLC* (a Kraft company) and Solae - using aborted fetal cells HEK-293 (human embryonic kidney), which were taken from an elective abortion in the 1970s.

Parents want to immunize their children and scientists want to be able to work within their professions, without violating their consciences or what the Magisterium has taught them. However, the ability to reach that ideal is hampered when influential Catholic leaders either knowingly or unknowingly misconstrue those Church teachings. After piecing together the players involved in Terri Schiavo's death, it's crystal clear that she was merely a pawn in a much larger agenda, one intently focused on the legalization of physician/assisted suicide and euthanasia in America. For the past five years, Children of God for Life has sought the help of every theologian, ethicist or clergy who has weighed in on the issue of aborted fetal cell line vaccines. With the exception of a few good moral leaders, priests and bishops, nearly all who have responded have done so as though they were treading on thin ice, so afraid to produce a crack that might actually reveal the truth and awaken a sleeping conscience.

The National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC) is dangerously teetering on a public perception that they have some sort of underlying motive when it comes to their position on using and producing vaccines with aborted fetal cell lines. In fact, their opinion on this issue has been so far removed from mainstream Catholic views that they actually concluded it was also morally acceptable for Catholic Universities to use the aborted fetal cell lines in research.

These people are supposed to be giving guidance and direction to our Bishops and Church leaders. You will be shocked to learn that not only does this Catholic organization think that Georgetown's research is perfectly acceptable, they believe the pharmaceutical industry is blameless as well!

Those entrusted with positions of power within the Church and Catholic laity have a unique responsibility to uphold the highest degrees of honesty and ethics. Their secular titles serve them well and earn them a high degree of respect and credibility among their peers. Whether they are clergy, doctors, lawyers, psychologists or scientists, they must set aside personal motivations when writing, teaching or speaking as leaders of the Catholic community.
