Homilies

Lifeissues is mainly concerned with publishing thoughtful articles directly related to issues raised in Evangelium Vitae. However, from the very beginning, we have also published a few related homilies, notably by Fr. Al Cariño, O.M.I., Fr. Tony Pueyo, and others.

Please use the pulldowns below to select a homily by Liturgical Calendar date.

New! We should all have regrets

Tom Bartolomeo
We are children of Adam and Eve infected by their contact with Satan. When Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer he was the only completely innocent man who ever prayed "Our Father". Jesus did not pray, 'My Father' but "Our Father." Christ thereby personally accepted punishment for our sins as his own? We have as well another problem with the Lord's Prayer. We should know, with our pledge to God,"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" may be the key for many which opens the door to heaven. How could we live in Jesus' company in the kingdom of heaven without first forgiving the sins of others in heaven who have forgiven us?
