Green Apple Two Step

Oh, dear, oh, my!
It makes me want to cry.

Oh, dear, oh, my!
It makes me want to cry.

I've been doubled up in pain.
Oh! This is such an awful strain.

They say it is the flu.
There's not much I can do.

Just "Let it run its course.
You'll be trotting like a horse!"

My southern friend calls this a dance.
Perhaps, there is a chance ...

You've heard it called by that?
Green apple two-step; knocks you flat!

Oh, my, oh dear!
Here I go again, I fear.

I mustn't hesitate.
It will, then, be way too late.

I'm shaking with the chills.
I need blankets. I need pills!

Perhaps, some chicken soup
Just might knock this for a loop.

I'm about at my wits end.
When will I be on the mend?

Oh, whoa is me.
I am so weak in my knees.

My condition must've worsened.
Though I'm not a party person ...

Green apple two-steps got me prancin'
And I'm mighty tired of dancin'.

But the sad thing seems to be,
It still wants to dance with me!

Still, that's not the ultimate caper.
I just ran out of toilet paper!

My prayer, my plea,
Will someone please cut in on me?
