Pro-Life Is Pro-Woman

Chelsey Youman

Dear Jerome,

This is one of my favorite months of the year – Women’s History Month!

In fact, not only is the whole month of March designated as Women’s History Month, but TODAY is International Women’s Day.

It’s an important time to celebrate women’s achievements, recognize how far culture has come in advancing women’s rights, and consider how we can work together to continue building up future generations of women.

It wasn’t too long ago in American history when women had very few rights. Women couldn’t vote. Women couldn’t hold political office. Women couldn’t receive advanced education. And women had virtually no voice in society.

But over the last 100 years, thanks to some incredible leaders, our culture has changed. Women do not just vote, but they hold some of the top positions in our local, state, and federal governments. Women are not just receiving advanced education, but they are teaching at our nation’s top universities. Women are CEOs and serve in leadership positions, while also being dedicated moms and wives.

However, within the advances and achievements, we’ve also seen a growing acceptance of abortion in our culture. There’s been a rise in a feminist movement that is selling the lie that abortion is equal to women’s empowerment. Some even consider the procedure a fundamental women’s right.

But the truth is, abortion always destroys – a child and a piece of the woman. And the only way to be pro-woman is to be pro-life. Take a few minutes to read my recent blog, where I look at what true empowerment and true feminism looks like:

Ending abortion in America will take a dramatic change in our culture. By supporting Human Coalition, you are part of the movement that is empowering women in their time of greatest need to keep and raise their children in safe environments.

Thank you so much for your partnership in this mission!

For Life,
