Massachusetts Medical Society Drops Opposition To Physician-assisted Suicide

Shira Schoenberg

Comment: Note this:
“Dorkin said the medical society has been considering the issue for a year. It sent out surveys to 25,000 doctors. Of the 12 to 13 percent that were returned, approximately 60 percent of respondents wanted the medical society to rescind its opposition to physician-assisted suicide, while 40 percent wanted to keep the policy.” (Emphasis added)
Basing the primary medical ethic of not killing patients or helping them to kill themselves on such a poll where the majority of doctors did not respond is how evil becomes inevitable.
