Please join pro-life leaders which include Congressman Chris Smith from NJ, David Bereit, 40 Days of Prayer for Life Leader, Dr. James Dobson, Founder of Focus on the Family, Fr. Frank Pavone from Priests for Life, Tony Perkins, Family Research Council, Charmaine Yoest, President of Americans United for Life, Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser and others on Thursday, July 23 at 9 p.m. to stop the inclusion of abortion in the health care reform bills currently making their way through both Houses of Congress.

New Jersey Right to Life, the NJ Catholic Conference, the NJ Family Policy Council and several other pro-life, pro-family NJ organizations have sent a letter to Members of the NJ Congressional Delegation and U.S. Senators Lautenberg and Menendez expressing strong opposition to the inclusion of abortion coverage and health care rationing in the health care reform legislation currently being crafted in Congress. We have asked them to oppose any health care reform legislation that does not specifically exclude abortion and health care rationing. In addition, we have requested that specific language be added to the bill that does not force health care providers to participate in or provide abortions, which is of particular importance to many faith-based health care providers, such as Catholic hospitals, which might face closure if they are forced too perform abortions.
